24th September, I went for the SingaporeGP Friday practice. I managed to buy a pair of $38 1-day passes. Actually, I main purpose is the Missy Elliott Concert. I reached to the circuit around 6pm, when the 1st practice session starts. I managed to squeeze my self in at 3 different locations during the night for the photo-shot. Here are some of my photos of the F1 cars, (it's blur and not perfect,i know but this is the best i can do. :-( 1 thing I like about this track is you can really see the F1 cars up-close, and many sharp bend and slow corners.
For those who are new to F1, this track aren't actually built for the F1 racing purposes, there are only street roads that jointed together and formed a temporary racing circuit. Concrete barrier with high steel fence are arranged by the side of the track for safety reasons. It give you an impression that the whole city is like a giant prison, cause during the F1 veek, motorist and pedestrian can't move freely around that area. Other countries treat F1 as a sporting event, and opportunities for young generation to involve in the sport, for example Malaysia. However, I feel it's different in Singapore, and F1 is actually a profit making event, and they are actually concerning the profit, trourist arrival rate, hotel occupancy rate than anything else.
